Great Moments In Film – Watchmen (2009)

I have spoken before about Watchmen so I’ll keep this short. What Zack Snyder did while adapting what was considered to be un-filmable graphic novel mini-series is nothing short of amazing. This was the best anyone could do, in my opinion. This is probably my favorite part of any movie in 2009: the opening credits of Watchmen. Snyder provides nearly 50 years of altered and in-depth history to us all within the five minute frame of Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are a-Changin’.” It’s as beautiful as it is stylized and let’s us know that we’re definitely not in Kansas anymore.

Also, be sure to watch for the details within each scene, such as the cops checking Silk Spectre I out as they all pose for the newspapers.
